			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Tendensor has been awarded the assignment to develop a branding strategy for the county of Öland in Sweden.</p>
<p><span id="more-868"></span></p>
<p>The work will be carried out in close collaboration with the island&#8217;s private and public tourism stakeholder. One of the most known and appreciated tourism destination in Sweden, few places places in Sweden conjure up so many positive images and associations as Öland does. Tourism has for long played an important role, both economically and culturally, but many believe that it can play an even more prominent role for Öland&#8217;s development.</p>
<p>During 2012, Tendensor will lead a broad, inclusive process that will address:</p>
<p>- What is the state of the tourism sector today?  - How is Öland seen in the outside world and by its visitors?  - What vision and long-term goals does Öland have?  - What target groups shall we aim for, and how do we reach them? - How do we ensure a sustainable and responsible tourism at the island of Öland?</p>
<p>At Tendensor, we are very much looking forward to work with the development of Öland together with the industry, citizens and public bodies.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Tendensor has been commissioned by Nordic Innovation – the joint innovation agency of the five Nordic countries – to recommend how Nordic cleantech clusters and competences can be marketed globally.<span id="more-744"></span></p>
<p>The goal of the study is to contribute to strengthening the Nordic brand in green and sustainable industries and practices. Tendensor will map how Nordic cleantech is marketed today, and develop methods and strategies for how clusters and cleantech competences can be marketed on a global scale in the future, with a particular focus on emerging markets.</p>
<p>The project marks the launch of Tendensor&#8217;s new business area &#8220;Cluster Brands&#8221;, under which we in different ways will work to develop methods and strategies for the marketing of business clusters and support their brand building, using inspiration and experiences from our place-branding projects.</p>

<p>The 19 October the conference &#8220;the Oslo Region in the world &#8211; identity and reputation management&#8221; by Oslo Teknopol, the investment and development agency of the greater Oslo region.</p>
<p>Per Ekman, Tendensor, was one of the key note speakers, and his topic of the day was <em>City Branding &#8211; success factors and trends</em>. Policy makers, business representatives and public sector representatives were in the audience. Mr Ekman addressed, among other things:</p>
<p>- The growing importance of cities.<br />
- Why city branding &#8211; internal and external effects.<br />
- The branding strategies of Copenhagen and Stockholm.<br />
- Succes factors and advice.<br />
- The image of Norway after terror assaults in Oslo in the summer of 2011.</p>
<p>Norwegian radio reported from the conference, and specifically addressed the issue of Norway&#8217;s global image after the  terror attacks. Marcus Andersson from Tendensor was interviewed.</p>
